Golf Instruction - Have Your Own Pro

Your Own Personal Golf Instruction Pro at Every Game

QUOTE: I have a tip that can take five strokes off anyone's golf
game: it's called an eraser- Arnold Palmer

If you've gone to a pro for golf instruction, chances are you've heard this said before:

"Golf is all about balance."

And no, we're not talking just about having the right balance on your feet (though that's important too). That, and the balance in your body movement, your golf swing, and more.

But more critical, in a sense that golf instruction pros know, is the balance in your mind. That inner balance, in sync with your physical balance, will turn you from a beginner golf player to an expert one - very quickly.

If you're playing badly, it's easy to let your performance on previous holes get you down - and this in turn will affect the way you're playing your next shot. Don't let that happen. Work on your balance.

Golf instruction involves learning about the technical points like how weight should be distributed on your feet, and how to alter it while executing your golf swing. The ultimate end result of excellent golf instruction is when you make the complex maneuvers seem effortless, smooth and natural.

Your golf swing is fluidity in motion. Your inner balance, combined with practiced strokes, leading to a balanced follow through makes you game a delight to the observer - and gives you a sense of satisfaction, even joy.

That graceful game is only possible when you find balance in your mind and body. Without this it is hard to find any consistency in your game.

Next time you try out a practice swing, do this. Get your upper body positioned exactly behind the ball. You will notice that you are placing more weight on your back foot.

But when you position yourself behind the ball and stand balanced on your feet, with equal pressure on both feet, you'll be able to make your swing gently and comfortably - without making any effort at all. It comes naturally.

Good golf instruction can give you many more such helpful tips to improve your golf swing and enhance the level at which you play the game.

Golf Swing Psychology - for your golf super swing

How is your golf swing when you feel confident? Better, right? Wouldn't you like to always be confident so you can get that perfect golf super swing? An important facet of golf instruction is working on the psychology of the beginner golf player.

Discover some amazing techniques to develop a golf swing that's perfect!

Self-confidence works wonders, whether it's about attracting the opposite sex, or swinging those golf clubs in the perfect golf swing. It all boils down to self-image - what you think about yourself.

You may be a raw golf beginner. But as long as you think you will be a good golf player, your swing will be great. On the other hand, if you feel negative, sad, angry or frustrated with life events or circumstances, you'll lack in confidence. And your golf swing will suffer.

Golf instruction involves mind training as well as physical training. Golf tips for a better swing include tips for positive thinking, mind control and concentration. By creative visualization, you'll get a far better golf swing than by spending hours hitting a ball on the courses.

And no matter who you go to for golf instruction, they can't do it for you. It's an inner game - and only you can play to win. Your self-image must change in relation to your golf swing.

Imagine seeing yourself as being skilled, confident, secure. With this thought held firmly in your mind, you can enter any golf course and win. And it happens because you are feeling good about yourself and your golf swing.

Here's a practical golf tip you can apply starting today. It's something I teach all students who come to me for golf instruction.

Sit in front of a mirror. But don't look into it, just yet.

Instead, imagine a situation when someone sincerely paid you a compliment, praised you, made you feel good about yourself. Anything. It doesn't matter what, so long as it made you feel good.

Now, replay that experience in your mind. What did they say? How did they look at you? How did you feel at that moment? Try and take yourself back in time to that moment - relive it in your mind.

As that good, positive, energizing feeling sweeps through you, turn to the mirror and look at yourself. Keep feeling those positive thoughts - and link them to the person in the mirror. Yes, that's the REAL you.

Hold that thought for as long as you can.

Burn it into your memory bank.

Pull it out before you take that next golf swing.

Just recalling that image, with the positive energy surrounding it, will do wonders for your golf swing. It's one of my best golf instruction tips ever - and I share it gladly with you for free.

Free Golf Tips For Your Golf Swing

Sounds too good to be true, isn't it? Yet, sharing free golf tips is what I've enjoyed doing. I shared golf tips with students, friends and family - both on the green and off. By giving away free golf tips, I've made more friends and relationships than the most seasoned pros at my golf club!

I recently surfed the Web looking for free golf tips, and was surprised (pleasantly) to find a number of sites sharing valuable material. Sure there were some duds, but most were useful. There were even videos to watch right there on the website!

Here are a few free golf tips you can use right away to boost your game.

Pick The Right Clubs

Take care to select the best one for you. A too large or too small club can ruin your stroke. You won't be able to get the right angles or swing. You do not need a professional set of brand new shiny clubs. Look for a good set to get started - you can always upgrade later.

Work On Your Golf Swing

Many beginner golf players struggle to improve their swing. Here's a free golf tip to make quick improvements - record yourself playing.

Yes, on video. Then view the tape over and over to see what mistakes you're making - and then fix them. It's hard to spot while you're playing, but easier while watching a recording.

Compare Youself With Golf Pros

Many people are awed by golf pros. You should't be. After all, they are better players because they have more practice and experience.

Get pro recordings. Compare yourself against them. See how they move during the golf swing, and analyze what they do differently from you. Work those moves into your swing, and improve steadily.

Record Your Practice Sessions

Each time you video tape your game, try to get all varieties of swings. This way you can see what your driving, chipping, and putting look like. If you've studied pro shots, you'll be amazed at how many areas of improvement jump out at you from the recordings you made.

As you go about improving your golf swing over years, keep these free golf tips in mind. They may appear simple. You may be tempted to ignore them because they are free. But these are as valuable as the golf tips you paid your pro $40 an hour to learn - and better still, you got them for free.

Use these free golf tips to turn your golf game into an enjoyable experience. And for more free golf tips, visit our 'Free Golf Tips' blog at http://www.niche2.com/golfswing/

Super Tip - Beginner Golf Swing

Working hard on your golf swing, but not making much progress?

If you're a person who carefully thinks about the source of your problems, especially after a poor round of golf, you'll realize it stems from the way you hold your golf club.

Think about the last time you hit a bad shot. What did you think about your golf swing? Didn't you tell yourself:

"Ok, now the next shot HAS to be better - so I can make up for what I lost with this one"

Didn't that make you a little more tense, anxious and nervous? Sure it did. And do you know what your hands do when that happens?

You grip the club too hard - ruining your golf swing.

You lose control over your swing - and all it takes is a simple course correction to get your golf swing back into being that perfect arc that slams the ball right down the middle!

One of my golfing partners had a written list of rules he'd look at whenever his game fell apart. Right at the top was this: "Don't try to strangle your club!"

It's a simple golf swing secret - yet this simple change can completely revamp your game, and get you back on course. There's another secret here - writing down your 'rules'. It works. Try it.

By looking at that list, and mentally working your way down it, your mind gets distracted from the worry of the last shot going wrong - and without tension, you now hold your club more 'naturally'. You focus on the next shot, releasing the tension that crept into your game.

The list of simple rules to improve your golf swing could literally become your 'game saver'. Use it the next time you play - it's an amazingly powerful technique.

Beginner Golf Success Secret - Your Simple Golf Swing

Most beginners only ever think about a big golf swing, hitting the ball as far as possible.

And even many experienced golfers never quite get out of this mindset - which is why they will never get the distance that they are capable of. The secret to 'distance' lies in your simple golf swing.

If you're looking for golf success, practice for accuracy first - and concentrate on distance only after you've got other basics like your golf swing perfected. That way, you'll master the art of control first.

Just think about it. What's the fun in hitting the ball many yards off the tee if you end up with your ball on another fairway... or maybe even in the rough? You'll waste time and effort fixing things - and end up with a higher stroke count than if you focus on perfecting that golf swing right from the start.

A drive right down the middle of the fairway, even if it's a few meters shorter, will let you get a better set of shots later on - and an overall lower round score.

By playing with a smaller, more controlled golf swing, you will gain that critical control of your shots. Your progress to more forceful strokes, getting more distance from your golf swing, is a natural sequel, and will let you build on your earlier success.

You'll learn correct golf swing technique - and this will last you well in the long term, over the course of your playing career. And by developing golf swing accuracy first, you will also be lengthening the distance of your drives and will in fact hit the ball further.

Let me give you some free golf instruction right here and now. Start with a smaller golf swing. It is easier to train your body to develop the correct actions. These actions are what's important when you progress to the longer drives.

As you master your golf swing, you can progress to a full swing knowing that you will have the control to hit the ball in the right direction. By combining a correct action with your full swing will ensure you will hit the ball further.

If you find that your drives are going crazy, fix it first. Don't make the classic beginner golf mistake. Even if you end up limiting your golf swing
until you are hitting the ball straight, that's the way to go.
